Project feedback

I thoroughly enjoyed working on my patent research project, which focused on toxic gas detection and control in sewage systems. The project allowed me to explore real-world environmental hazards and examine how cutting-edge technologies are being used to solve them. One of the highlights was analyzing actual patents and learning how innovations like wearable gas sensors, biological treatments, and vented manhole covers are addressing worker safety and environmental concerns. I was particularly impressed by how low-power and biologically driven solutions are being used to minimize both energy use and pollution. Through this research, I developed a deeper appreciation for the role of engineering in public health and sustainability. It also improved my ability to connect technical data with broader social and environmental outcomes. Overall, the experience was engaging, informative, and eye-opening. I look forward to applying these insights in future projects and discussions on sustainable infrastructure and innovation.
