We had the opportunity to participate in MacEwan University’s summer student program this year. Each placement brings unique experiences, and this term was no different. As employers, we continue to learn a great deal through the process of mentoring students and adapting to the realities of a work-integrated learning program. It’s always a fruitful experience, and we value the opportunity to support students in applying their education in a workplace setting. We look forward to continuing our partnership with MacEwan University and to welcoming future students into our organization.

Working with the educators was extremely positive. They were easy to contact and provided a response within a reasonable timeframe. The placement was organized and the requirements of the placement were clearly defined.

Communication started strong, but petered off, and I wasn't sure if there was more i should be doing to promote the experience. Also, I don't think i ever communicated with an educator, just administrators. In the end, I got 1 intern who seemed keen and engaged, and then completely disappeared.

Very disappointing, both from the student and the university. The student does not demonstrate professional behavior, and the university does not give proper consideration to the feedback provided.

Ahsin was a thoroughly engaged and sympathetic instructor who delivered excellent communications. Tracy and her team are awesome to work with and are very client focused. Bravo!

My interactions with the team we all positive., The only few things I would mention are that it was difficult to navigate the platform a bit, I was looking for more information to be contained within, or perhaps i was just not able to find it. Also. there was communication within the portal and outside by emial so that was a bit confusing as well when trying to find all the information. I submitted the applications but then I had others managing the students and the positions, so we were not all connected on what was going on. In addition, there was a mid and final evaluation form completed by the supervisors already and now there was one sent by Ripen to fill something out online, there sems to be some duplication?

The team at MacEwan's WIL program is always a pleasure to deal with. Passionate about their programs and ensuring students are best engaged and well matched to partners.

Communication was professional and helpful. Whenever I ran into an issue or had a question, I was able to quickly get an answer. I was also provided with well organized information regarding timelines and expectations. Overall, a very positive experience.

I think working with MacEwan University has been a great opportunity for our organization to access support in helping more the organization forward as well accessing the most up to date best practices being taught.

I think this was an excellent experience connecting Bachelor of Music Composition students with high school students. It was a good collaborative process.

Team was highly motivated to engage and come up with ideas! Very creative and lots of smart solutions :)
